Request a timber quote

Request a construction-timber quote from Riyadh Timber in **4 simple steps**: send your quantity list, specifications and delivery address, and receive a formal quote within **4 working hours**. Quoted prices include in-Riyadh transport and 15% VAT, with a guaranteed replacement of any panel that fails to meet specification.

What is a quote request?

A quote request is a formal inquiry from a customer asking for the price, cost and supply lead time for timber before placing an order. At Riyadh Timber, the resulting quote is a 7-day-valid document that lists unit price, total price, payment terms, delivery date and quality specifications.

Contractors, engineering offices and furniture factories use quote requests to build project budgets and to compare suppliers fairly. The formal quote binds Riyadh Timber to the quoted prices throughout its validity period and is not amended unilaterally.

A Riyadh Timber quote is treated as a legally valid document for engineering and accounting review. It includes the company tax number and commercial registration, qualifying it for inclusion in contractor approval files submitted to the project owner.

How do I send a quote request to Riyadh Timber?

The process runs in 4 steps: (1) send the quantity list and specifications by email or WhatsApp, (2) the technical engineer reviews the specifications, (3) we issue the formal quote within 4 working hours, (4) you confirm and pay, and we schedule delivery within 24–48 hours inside Riyadh.

  1. 01

Step 1 — Submit the request

Send a PDF, Excel or WhatsApp message listing timber type, thickness, dimensions, quantities and delivery address. Drawing attachments are useful but not mandatory.

  2. 02

    Step 2 — Technical review

A sales engineer reviews specifications to confirm availability and proposes equivalent alternatives where useful (for example 12 mm in place of 15 mm to shorten lead time).

  3. 03

    Step 3 — Quote issuance

The formal quote is issued within 4 working hours, listing unit price, total price, 15% VAT, payment terms, delivery date and validity period.

  4. 04

Step 4 — Confirmation and delivery

After approval and payment confirmation, loading is scheduled the same day or the next, and Riyadh delivery completes within 24–48 hours.

What information is required in a quote request?

Mandatory: timber type (plywood, MDF, SPF, oak), thickness, dimensions, quantity, delivery address, receiving company name, tax number. Optional: project drawings, responsible engineer name, project name, and the desired delivery date.

The more precise the quantity list, the faster and more accurate the resulting quote. A missing thickness or dimension forces a clarification round with the customer, which may stretch issuance time to 8 working hours.

For quotes on large projects (above 2,000 sheets), we recommend sending the full BOQ as an Excel file, with materials grouped by project phase (formwork, finishing, joinery) so that delivery logistics can be staged accurately.

How long does it take to issue a quote?

4 working hours for standard requests (up to 2,000 sheets or 500 m³). Larger requests requiring wholesale pricing from origin mills take 24–48 working hours. Requests received after 2 PM are processed the next business morning, in the first two hours of the new day.

WhatsApp requests received during peak hours (9 AM–12 PM) are prioritised and may produce a quote in as little as 2 hours. Outside that window the standard 4-hour SLA applies.

For genuine emergencies requiring a reply within an hour, an expedited service can be requested by direct phone call. The team commits to responding to legitimate emergencies as fast as possible.

What formats are accepted for quote requests?

We accept: PDF, Excel, Word, JPG/PNG photos of quantity lists, plain WhatsApp messages, and email. Excel is preferred for large requests, as it lets the team copy quantities directly without manual re-entry, eliminating transcription errors.

AutoCAD and Revit drawings are accepted but are not enough on their own to issue a quote. We require a separate bill of quantities (BOQ) listing numerical quantities, since the team does not perform take-offs from drawings except in special engagements with consulting fees.

For customers without a ready BOQ, the sales engineer can help build one based on a project description and phasing. The service is free for projects above 500 sheets.

What are the payment terms in a quote?

Standard terms: 100% advance for new customers, 50% deposit and 50% on delivery after three successful transactions, net-30 credit for institutional customers with a current commercial registration. Methods: bank transfer, Mada Business, or cash on delivery for amounts below SAR 20,000.

Net-30 credit is granted after the credit department reviews the customer file and accepts a bank guarantee or post-dated cheque. The starting credit limit is SAR 50,000 and increases progressively based on payment history.

Every quote includes **15% VAT** clearly itemised, with the company's active tax number on the invoice header. Electronic invoices comply with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements.

Frequently asked questions about quote requests

  • Yes, quote issuance is completely free for all customers, regardless of the quantity. There are no consulting fees on initial technical review, including suggesting alternatives and computing quantities from a customer-provided schedule.

  • No, the quote is not binding on the customer. You can review and compare with other offers without any obligation to buy. The quote binds Riyadh Timber only, throughout its validity period of 7 days, with no price change during that time.

  • Quotes are valid for 7 calendar days from the issue date. After expiry, prices are reviewed against current market levels and may be revised up or down, especially for imported timber affected by ocean-freight rate changes.

  • Yes. Every quote is all-in: it includes in-Riyadh transport, breakage warranty, and 15% VAT. Additional theft-on-site insurance is available on request at 1% of invoice value.

  • Yes, we issue quotes in Arabic and English on the same document, or in English only if the customer prefers. This serves foreign consultants and international contractors operating on Vision 2030 projects.
