Riyadh Timber policies

Terms and conditions

These terms govern the contractual relationship between Riyadh Timber and its customers in the Kingdom. They are based on a **50%** deposit on order confirmation, title transfer on full payment, a **7-day** replacement warranty for defective stock items, and Saudi law and Riyadh courts as the dispute forum.

What is the scope of Riyadh Timber's terms and conditions?

These terms cover all Riyadh Timber services: timber and panel sales, cut-to-size services, KSA delivery, and project advisory. They apply to enterprises and individuals; acceptance is constituted by confirming a purchase order or paying the deposit.

All transactions are subject to the Saudi Commercial Law, the E-Commerce Law, and the Consumer Protection Association regulations issued by the Ministry of Commerce.

Any conflicting terms in a customer's purchase order are not binding on Riyadh Timber unless we expressly agree in writing; these terms prevail in case of conflict.

What are the order and payment terms?

An order is confirmed by a 50% deposit on quote acceptance, with the remaining 50% on delivery. Verified contractors with prior history above SAR 200,000 may obtain net-30 terms backed by a cheque or letter of credit. We accept bank transfers, Mada, Visa, and digital wallets.

Quotes are valid for 14 days from issuance unless stated otherwise. International timber market swings above 7% allow re-pricing once validity expires.

E-invoices are issued per ZATCA requirements, including the QR code and the 15% VAT applied to all sales.

When does title transfer and what warranty applies?

Title transfers to the buyer on full payment of the invoice, even if delivery occurred earlier. We warrant replacement of any defective or non-conforming board within 7 days of delivery, provided it is not installed or modified, supported by a defect report and on-site photos.

Goods delivered before full payment remain under the seller's lien, with a recovery right in case of non-payment, per Article 412 of the Saudi Civil Transactions Law.

The warranty does not cover damage from improper post-delivery storage, exposure to rain, or installation contrary to the manufacturer's instructions; such cases are handled outside the warranty.

What are the order steps from quote to delivery?

Five steps: receive a request for quotation, issue a formal quote within 4 working hours, transfer the deposit to confirm the order, prepare the goods at the warehouse, then deliver under the shipping policy with the signed waybill marking the actual handover.

  • Quote request: customer submits the quantity list, thicknesses, and project location via [email protected] or WhatsApp +966 50 905 3548.
  • Quote issuance: a formal quote is issued within 4 working hours, including unit price, total, shipping, and 15% VAT.
  • Order confirmation: customer pays 50% deposit and submits address and coordinates, converting the quote into an approved purchase order.
  • Preparation: order is prepared within 24-48 hours from stock or 3-4 weeks for special items, with shipping schedule notified to the customer.
  • Delivery: driver arrives, customer inspects, signs the waybill, and settles the remaining 50% via cash or transfer before offload.

What are the limits of liability and force majeure terms?

Riyadh Timber's liability for any contract dispute is capped at the value of the contested invoice and does not exceed it. We do not bear consequential damages or lost profits. Force majeure events (disasters, border closures, strikes, government instructions) suspend timing obligations without termination.

Disputes are first settled through direct negotiation within 30 days, then mediation via the Maroof platform of the Ministry of Commerce, and finally litigation before the **Commercial Courts of Riyadh**.

The Riyadh Timber-customer agreement is governed by **Saudi law exclusively**, and the Arabic version prevails in interpretation if the Arabic and English versions conflict.
